Ask & Affirm: A visual representation of transgender patient centered care

Many transgender and gender nonconforming (TGGNC) people have encountered inappropriate care, discrimination and mis-gendering within the medical system. As the final practicum project in the MS Health Communication program at NU, this infographic was designed as a reminder to faculty and medical students about supporting TGGNC patient centered care. It can serve as a discussion primer for ways to engage these patients in a quality healthcare experience.
