Student Healthcare Consulting as a Novel Form of Service Learning: Our Three Year Experience
Student healthcare consulting is a novel service learning experience that may complement existing medical school offerings. Founded in 2015, Second Opinions is a Feinberg-based student consulting group that assembles teams of medical students to address specific business problems for healthcare organizations that serve disadvantaged communities. In this presentation, we will discuss lessons learned from our three-year experience, ultimately recommending healthcare consulting as an educational model for preparing the next generation of physician leaders.
